As a pre-service teacher participating in the SEA Teacher program, the practicum experience has been a journey that seamlessly aligns with the program's objectives. The primary goal of enhancing teaching skills and pedagogy has been a focal point throughout the practicum. Engaging with diverse students in a real classroom setting has provided invaluable insights into effective teaching strategies and classroom management. Furthermore, the practicum has also emphasized the importance of practicing English skills. Interacting with students, fellow educators, and the community in English has not only improved language proficiency but also fostered a dynamic and immersive learning environment.
The practical application of language skills in a real-world context has undoubtedly contributed to a heightened sense of confidence in using English as a medium of instruction.
