As part of our pre-service teacher training program, we had the opportunity to work with the English club at SD Sint Carolus, a school renowned for its commitment to a holistic approach to education. Our objective was to provide students with an interactive and dynamic platform to enhance their English language proficiency.

Together with my co-delegate, we brainstormed a wide range of activities tailored to the varied learning styles of Grade 3, Grade 4, and Grade 5 students. We designed the activities to be both fun and engaging, with the aim of making the learning experience enjoyable and memorable. Our program included activities such as language games, interactive exercises, and group discussions, all of which encouraged students to participate actively while fostering their language skills.

The English club activity at SD Sint Carolus came to a close with a certificate of appreciation ceremony, where students were recognized for their dedication to learning. The certificates served as a tangible reminder of the value placed on their efforts and encouraged them to continue their language learning journey. Our experience at SD Sint Carolus demonstrated the power of collaborative learning initiatives in transforming language education. With a creative and holistic approach, we were able to ignite curiosity and excitement in students about the English language, showcasing how education can be both effective and enjoyable.
