The days leading up to my arrival were filled with excitement and anticipation as I never expected to make it to another country within a month. I felt like I was on cloud nine and couldn't think of anything else but what awaited me in the foreign land. It was my first time travelling abroad for a month, and I was hopeful about the experiences that awaited me.
On the day of my flight, I woke up early at 4:00 AM and went to the airport with my loved ones. I was new to the airport and didn't know what to do. Thankfully, the people around were helpful, and I was able to check my baggage, clear immigration, and grab a snack before boarding my flight.
The flight to Singapore from Manila took four hours, and I prayed for a safe and comfortable journey. I was ecstatic to meet my co-delegate at the gate, and we boarded the flight together. Upon arrival at Chang'e Airport, I was awestruck by its size and beauty. The airport was one of the most famous and significant in the world, and it was evident why. We went through the necessary airport procedures and waited for our next flight to Jakarta.
We visited the Jewel Mall, one of the popular tourist attractions in Singapore. The mall was a marvel of modern architecture, and I was amazed by its beauty. We had lunch there and took a few snaps before proceeding to the gate for our flight to Jakarta. The flight was scheduled for 3 PM, and I was nervous about the journey ahead. However, I was comforted by the presence of the Indonesian people and felt more secure.
Our journey to Bengkulu, Indonesia, was long, and we had to wait for seven hours for our flight. However, the time we spent sleeping at the airport, having breakfast, and taking a one-hour flight to Bengkulu became some of our core memories.
And so the journey began, filled with excitement and anticipation for the adventures that awaited us in Indonesia.
