We arrived at our destination at 8:45 AM, and I was speechless. Finally, we had made it to the province of Bengkulu in Indonesia. We waited for our university coordinator, Miss Lenni, and her student, Harun, at the airport. When they arrived, we were overjoyed to meet them, and they accompanied us throughout the day. Miss Lenni showed us around the city and took us to the mall, but unfortunately, it was closed. However, we still managed to have lunch at a nearby restaurant that served Indonesian-style food. We also visited a grocery store to purchase some essentials. After running errands, we went to the boarding house. At first, I was a little scared, but when we met the house owner and other delegates from Indonesia, I felt more secure and excited about our journey ahead.
Touchdown, Bengkulu! 🇮🇩
The day started with some much-needed rest. Our coordinator informed us that we would visit the beach to catch the sunset and have our welcome dinner at a seafood restaurant near Pantai Panjang with the Thailand delegates and students from the University of Bengkulu. It was an exciting prospect, and we eagerly looked forward to it. The evening was a delightful experience as we had fun getting to know the people, trying out the delicious food, and immersing ourselves in the local culture. The sunset was a sight to behold, and we took some amazing pictures to capture the moment. As the day came to a close, I couldn't help but reflect on the journey ahead of me. I felt hopeful and prayed that I would have a successful and memorable experience in Indonesia.
